Step by Step Guide in Installing an Operating System for Beginners

What is an Operating System? what are the types of Operating System? and what are their Minimum Requirements for installation?

So. lets proceed to the Installation of OS (Operating System)

Guys I'm gonna use Windows 7 OS 

Step 1.You should have Windows 7 Bootable USB/ CD rom (that is your OS Instller). and you need to know the Minimum requirements of the OS that you want to install.

Step 2. Insert your CD-Rom or Bootable USB Drive to the computer and Boot to BIOS Setup and set your  1st BOOT device priority to USB/CD-Rom  then save and exit. and wait until asked to press any key to load your installer. ( obviously you should pressany key to load).

Step 3. Windows starts to load files
- In the  this stage of setup; you will see  the message “windows is loading files”

Step 4. Welcome to Setup

- in this setup you will be ask what language to install, time and currency format and keyboard or input method then click next.

Step 5. This screen will allow you to Install or repair windows 7.

"click Install Now"

Step 6. Read the License terms and check “I accept the license terms” then click next.

Step 7. You will now be presented with two options. Select  which type of Installation you want, Upgrade or Custom (advanced)  Click Custom Advanced if you want to have a fresh Install, or click upgrade if you just upgrade your existing OS.

Step 8. Choose where you would like to install Windows 7, for fresh Install you only see 1 partition, but in case you will see  2-3 Partitons and the other one is System Reserved the other 2 is your Hard Drive.. you can  format System Reserved and choose it for your Windows  7 installation.

Step 9. Windows 7 starts the installation process and starts copying all the necessary files to your hard drive, It will go through various stages of the setup and will reboot your system few times. When your PC reboots, it attempts to boot from CD/DVD or USB. Do not press any key during the boot prompt so Windows 7 will continue with the installation.  

Warning !! , Do Not Press Anything ! or Else

 you will Boot Back to the First Stage of Installation.

After reboot, your computer will be prepared for first use

Step 10. Choose a user name and computer name. Click next to continue.  then set your account and password

Step 11. You can now type the product key and click next. If you do not enter the product key, you can still proceed to the next stage. However, Windows will run in trial mode for 30 days.

Step 12.  Help protect your computer and improve windows automatically, review your time zone and date then click next, Select your computer’s current location, and then Windows will now finalize the settings for your computer and will automatically restart. 

Step 13. you will appear in the logon screen, you can login to your account created earlier..
Step 14. Your windows 7 OS installation is complete. Next thing to do is to install and update Device Drivers to make it fully configured. 

And thats it!! you are now ready to install Device Divers !
